Proof That Crime Does Not Only Occur in the USA:

Italy: A Canadian lady is upset because Italian Courts have ruled that Italian men can no longer walk by and pinch her bum.

Greece: In Greece they have come up with an amazing observation: crimes are committed by young, poorly-educated males. Whodathunk?

New Zealand: Apparently the courts are having trouble trying to figure out how to apply "non-parole periods" in sentencing serious crimes.

Australia: (1) Chinese nationals are kidnapping Chinese business owners for ransom.

(2) For the first time the Australian Commonwealth has charged 4 people with the offense of slavery.

South Africa: (1) In the Mafikneg Provincial hospital a group of employees and a doctor scammed the hospital out of pay for work not done.

(2) In Johannesburg there is a massive crime wave in progress.

Nigeria: There are difficulties with the Nigerian prison system.

Japan: (1) Two former leaders of the Liberal Democratic Party's Nagasaki prefectural chapter received suspended sentences Friday after being found guilty of violating the Public Offices Election Law by soliciting political donations for a gubernatorial election in February 2002. Prefectural chapter? Sounds more like the Roman Empire than the island of Japan.

(2) A man kidnapped a 4th grade girl and held her for almost ten years. The prosecution manipulated the system to make sure he got more than ten years in prison. And then the courts quibbled about what the exact sentence would be.

(3) The Prime Minister is concerned about the difficulties caused by lawbreaking by juveniles and Brazilians.

Britain: An article in the Guardian about how arresting people doesn't stop crime and how bureaucratic interference has kept the programs the Guardian favors from stopping crime.
