In order to preserve the issue for appeal
you have to object to the fact that the judge didn't rule on your objection.
And then when the trial judge looks at you like you're stoned, crazy, or - worst of all - a smart-@ss defense lawyer from the city who doesn't know that we don't put up with that kind of stupidity in this county, do you object to the fact that he hasn't ruled on your objection relating to the objection?
