Ohio Governor Bob Taft set a new execution date of Jan. 19 for a condemned inmate trying to prove his claims of innocence.
John Spirko was scheduled to die by lethal injection next week. However, Taft granted a two-month reprieve to allow for DNA testing at the request of the state's Attorney General.
It's the second time Taft has agreed to delay Spirko's execution over questions about his conviction.
