1) Man gets no jail time in sex case
Convicted sex offender given probation, ordered to complete therapy. Defense Attorney is also Richmond City Council member.

2) Suspect identified in acid attack that hurt 6
Police yesterday released the name of the man arrested for allegedly throwing acid that burned six people outside a local restaurant.

3) Killer loses parental rights
"When Piper Rountree squared off in a Henrico County courtroom against prosecutors a year ago, she lost her freedom. Yesterday, Rountree went head-to-head with her former brother-in-law, Michael Jablin, and lost her three children." Rountree's three children are in the care of the family of her slain former husband.

4) Thief is tackled at mall but escapes with earring
A thief managed to get away with one diamond earring Monday after being subdued in a mall parking lot. Police recovered the second earring in the lot where the jewelry salesman had tackled the thief. The set was valued at about $50,000.
